I feel I had to drop a few words to express my experience of having my first eye operation at Bishop Auckland-eye clinic under my consultant Miss Paul. From the the first appointment I was reassured all would be fine. When the time came and I got the phone call asking if I could come in that same morning, my nerves didn’t have time to set in but as soon as I arrived at the hospital I was reassured not only by the nurses but the surgeon Miss Paul took time out to come and see me to explain what she was going to do.
Miss Paul and all theatre staff were not only friendly but professional at all times. The operation was carried out and although I was anxious at no time did I feel any discomfort but was amazed at how quick and easy it all went.I can only say thanks to not only Miss Paul but all involved from start to finish. I found the whole experience very good, staff put you at ease and kept you informed about what was happening, as two other people were sent home due to an emergency. This was just before they stopped doing operations. Miss Paul was very good and let me know what she was doing. I didn't feel any pain. Nurse held my hand which I found very reassuring.
I was nervous about my surgery. I was quickly taken for surgery. It was a very calm place. Miss Paul made me calm..Thank You. She was very nice and the operation was over in no time at all. Can not wait to have my other eye done.
My recent eye surgery undertaken by Miss Paul has been a success. The whole episode was conducted with pleasant efficiency. My comfort was important to Miss Paul who was caring about my sedation and my spinal stenosis in my neck. I felt nothing of the operation and recovered well.
